DAHLIAS
Your source for quality discount dahlia bulbs.
Dahlias originally came from Mexico. The Spanish introduced them to Europe
in the 18th century.
Today there are many varieties to choose from in all
sizes and colors. There are pompom dahlias with small flowers that are less than 2
inches in diameter. On the other end of the scale, there are the dinnerplate dahlias
with flowers that can grow to 12 inches in diameter. There are single dahlias with one
row of petals.
There are double dahlias with more than one row of petals.
Orchid dahlias have petals curve up and in toward a cental disk. The cactus and semi-cactus
dahlias have narrow pointed ray petals. All of these types come in a wide variety of
colors.
The dahlia is a sub-tropical plant that needs rich soil, constant
watering and frequent feeding. Locate dahlias in a warm, sunny spot in your garden with
good air circulation for best results.
New dahlias may be started from seeds, cuttings or by dividing the
existing tubers.
Here are my company selections for purchasing dahlias bulbs. Check them
