ALLIUMS
Your source for quality discount allium bulbs.
Allium flower plants are related to the onion, chive and garlic plants.
Alliums are perennials which grow from 9 inches to 3 feet tall, depending on the variety.
They are also known as ornamental onions. Maybe this is why deer and rodents avoid them.
The allium flowers come in colors such as
white, yellow, pink ,burgundy, blue, lilac, purple and are usually ball-shaped. Be sure to
check out the beautiful blues. They are truely amazing. Alliums make a
dramatic addition to a garden.
Alliums flower in early spring and make excellent cut flowers. The bulbs
can be planted in early to mid-fall and prefer very well drained soil and even sandy soil.
The shorter varieties are great for rock gardens and they love the sun.
The bulbs will multiply so every 3 or 4 years, lift and divide them.
Most varieties are very hardy from zones 3-5.
